What's In A Name?

Remember your school bully? The one kid that was bigger than the
rest of the students and had all his little toadies
hanging around him doing his/her bidding call?
A.J. was the school bully. He picked on boys, girls, dogs, cats -
if they were smaller and weaker they were victims. He started
out in Junior High and continued being a bully into High School.
One day A.J. and his mom were in the principal’s office. As they
left the office the bell rang and students poured out of the their
classes into the hall. Above the roar of the crowd you could hear
A.J.’s mom yell out, "Aldonishes Jerome do not let me have to
come down here to this school anymore because of your bad behavior!"
The kids heard his full name and A.J. cringed. Laughter rang out
among the students and from that day on the bully had lost his power.
There is a lot of power in a name. In our bully’s case, the loss of power.
Did you know there is a bully in your life? The bully is spiritual
and you can't see him but you have felt his meanness. Yep - its the devil,
the evil one, Satan. Whatever title he goes by, he is still a bully.
Well, like A.J. at school, the devil has a name he hates . You want him
to cringe and leave you along? Just call him "Little Horn". In the
Hebrew language this means "little power." Reference to this
is found in Daniel 7:8 & Daniel 8:9.
Next time you’re trying to do right and your life gets turned upside down,
remember it is "Little Horn" who is the one doing bad things to good people.
Tell him to get out of your life and you take control. Satan thinks he is
“all that” but in truth he is like the school bully; he is only as
powerful in your life as you allow him to be.
Little Horn, the truth is now out. Let's see your bully power lick
the dust like the snake that you really are! Satan thinks he is
the great “I am” but he really is the great “I am NOT”!
Now you know the truth and according to the Bible the truth will set you free.
