The Power Of A Baby

(Mark Twain, The Baby & The Miners)
Mark Twain was a man of stories. He told one of how a baby
came to a mining town during the gold rush era and transformed
that dirty camp. A poor woman who had no husband, had given birth
but died during the hard labor. She left behind a small baby.
The men of the camp had to take care of this little baby boy. The
baby lay in a box but the men decided that was not good enough for
this newborn so they built a cradle out of rosewood. The men passed the
hat and got enough gold dust to buy this tiny one some pretty clothes.
The baby, decked out in his new clothes and laying in his new cradle, was
a sight to behold. But the miners decided the floor was dirty, so were the
walls and ceiling. They went to work and cleaned the cabin until it was
spotless and livable for the tiny baby. Of course they had to fix the
windows and add some curtains and they would watch their rough
language when the baby was awake.
When the weather was warm they took the cradle to the mining area
and each man took their turn in babysitting. They decided to plant
some flowers to make the cradle area attractive.
The arrival of this infant resulted in transforming
the mining camp and the men who toiled there.

A similar event occurred in Bethlehem that changed the
whole world. A baby was born in a manger and changed the world.
When we open our lives to HIM....HE will change our lives
also. He cleanses us from sin with HIS love, adopts us and
renews our purpose in life. HE makes your soul feel its worth!!
We don't need to remain stuck in our empty, nothing life.
We don't have to be afraid of tomorrow. Through faith in the Christ
child we become new. He doesn't change our outward appearance.
HE transforms our hearts so that the old is gone and the new has arrived.
~ 2 Cor 5:17 ~ Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature:
old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
Nothing that our modern day Christmas has to offer can come
close to being new inside and have it show as a glow in your being.
